SuaVar · Strategy studio
Your rules. A strategy you can improve.
Describe how you trade, review the rules and measure what happens before deciding what to change.
A look inside · 1/3
Your rules, made clear
Define when to enter, exit and stay out. Review the interpretation before testing.
Workflow illustration. No strategy results are shown.
Your data
Load market history as CSV. Check the symbol, dates, timeframe and costs. Available data is always identified.
Your evidence
Inspect entries, exits and balance. Test resistance and unused periods when enough data is available.
Your versions
Choose a change, test it under the same conditions and compare it with the original. A change can help, do nothing or make results worse.
Example walkthrough and MetaTrader 5 guide
Teaching example: EMA 20/50 crossover
An illustration of the process, not a validated strategy or a completed backtest.
- Define EURUSD H1; buy when EMA 20 crosses above EMA 50 at candle close and sell on the opposite crossover.
- Define exits: 2 × ATR(14) stop, 3 × ATR(14) trailing stop, no fixed target. Check sizing and restrictions; do not assume the engine supports all your rules.
- Upload instrument history, review interpretation and engine assumptions. Test that configuration first; request variants separately if desired.
- Read negative results too, compare other histories without changing rules and export MQ5 for verification. Passing a filter does not guarantee returns.
From MQ5 file to a demo test
- Open the MT5 data folder and save the MQ5 in MQL5/Experts. Open it in MetaEditor and compile (F7); resolve errors before continuing.
- In Strategy Tester select the EA, instrument, timeframe and dates. Review deposit, inputs and broker conditions. Use real ticks when available.
- Compare trades and results with the SuaVar report: data, spread, fees, swap and execution may cause differences. Successful compilation does not prove profitability.
- Then test in a demo account with reviewed sizing and limits. This release does not connect your broker or activate live orders.
